Video Editing for Brand Storytelling | Bad Girls Commercial Case Study

My Role: Narrative Editor and Creative Director

I served as the lead editor and creative director for this "Bad Girls" concept commercial. My primary objective was to demonstrate how video editing for brand storytelling can build an immersive 60-second world from scratch using raw stock footage.

The Rhythmic Editing Process

To begin, I established a pulse-driving pace by syncing aggressive visuals to a high-energy musical score. Specifically, I focused on the intersection of motion and sound to create an immersive experience. Consequently, every edit choice serves to amplify the rebellious energy of the fictional brand. Furthermore, I added impact SFX to ensure the viewer remains engaged throughout the entire narrative.

Visual Style and Typography

First, I applied a gritty film grade to unify the disparate stock clips into a singular, bold aesthetic. Subsequently, I engineered custom motion graphics and typography to define the distinct "Bad Girls" identity. Therefore, this project highlights how video editing for brand storytelling is more than just assembly; it is about building tone and prestige from the ground up.

Technical Execution in Premiere Pro

Finally, I performed the final assembly and finishing within Premiere Pro. The layering of sound and typography was key to achieving this high-impact result. As a result, the finished 60-second spot stands as a professional showcase of high-end commercial editing.
